Travel & Accommodations
International Travel Requirements
As we are celebrating in the Canadian Rockies, please ensure your travel documents are ready well in advance!
-
Passports Required: All guests flying from outside Canada (including U.S. citizens) must have a valid passport to enter the country.
-
6-Month Rule: It is highly recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your travel date.
-
Official Link: For renewals or new applications, please visit the official government portal here.
A Note on Admissibility: Canada maintains strict entry policies regarding past DUI or DWI convictions, which can result in denied entry at the border regardless of when the offense occurred. If this may apply to you, we kindly suggest reviewing the official Government of Canada website well in advance of your travel.

Parking and Getting Around
-
At the Fairmont: Both valet and self-parking are available ($39–$59 CAD per night).
-
Roam Transit: The Route 1 bus stops directly at the Fairmont and is a quick, easy way to reach downtown. Many local hotels provide free transit passes—just ask at your front desk!

A Note on the Weather We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the Canadian Rockies! Please keep in mind that December in Banff is truly a winter experience. Temperatures typically range from 5°F to 23°F. While our ceremony and reception will be held indoors in the warmth of the Castle, we recommend bringing a heavy coat, gloves, and a warm scarf for your travels and any exploring you plan to do!
